When famous people such as actors, athletes and rock stars give their opinions, many people listen. Do you think we should pay attention to these opinions? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

In my opinion, I think it depends on personal choices. Many celebrities give their perspectives on various issues, such as political affairs, gossips, reflections on some specific events. Some are worth to be listened to, but some are not.

When it comes to people of foresight, things are different. Most of the time rational scholars have the characteristics to charm people to believe what they think. That's because the scholars have credible reasons to support their point of views, and their views are actually reliable. For example, a female Taiwanese writer, Long Ying Tai, who is quite famous on her sharp thoughts on controversial issues, such as the relationship among Taiwan, Hong Kong and Mainland China. Her articles are worthy to reading.

Another case is a Hong Kong actor, Jackie Chan. He once addressed his thoughts about the presidential election in Taiwan. He expressed his negative feelings about Taiwan's politics, so many Taiwanese boycotted his movies at that time. This proves not all famous people's speech will match everyone's expectation. People listen to them, but don't agree with them all the time.

To pay attention to what celebrities say is practical in life, because we can learn something from them. Some inspire our thoughts, and some don't. Some are acceptable for us, but some are not. The point is that we should know what we want, and not don't need to follow the celebrities blindly. They are not always correct.
